Thankfully enjoying yourself with lots of alcohol isn’t as frowned upon in Denmark as it is in other Scandinavian countries further north. In fact, Denmark’s cities are some of the liveliest in Europe full with bars, clubs and live music venues.
Nightlife doesn’t really get going until after midnight when all the true night owls come out to play. Once the clock hits midnight towns and cities all over the country start to come alive, particularly in Copenhagen. In the capital, the first café opens at 5am to coincide with the last nightclub closing!
The performing arts are just as popular in Denmark as they are in other European capitals. The best selection of theatres, just as with bars and nightclubs, are in the bigger cities.
